gone for a few days...

Well it's about 5:45am and in a short 15 minutes Sheldon, Avery and I will be leaving to head to Springfield for College Days with 4 of the kids in our youth group! I haven't been to Springfield in a little over a year now so as you can imagine I'm quite excited to see all of my best friends, old college friends, church family, youth group kids and families that I nannied for! We'll only be able to stay for a few short days but a few days is better than nothing! :) Please keep us in your prayers as we make the 18 hour hike up there!

She's a movin!

Well little Avery started moving around like crazy yesterday!!! There have been a few times that I was like WOAH what was that? But it wasn't definite enough to say it was her... but yesterday I think she might have had the hiccups! It kinda tickled! I know that she's all I talk about but seriously that's the happiest and most exciting thing going on in my life right now... probably ever!

I registered at Target this past weekend... and the only bedding that I can find that I like has been at Pottery Barn lol... I feel like such a snob but I've tried to fall in love with others and it just doesn't work!!! :/ SO mom made me register there for my bedding. Here's a picture of it! :)

IT'S A GIRL!!!! :)

That's right! We found out this past Friday that our precious gift of God is a little baby girl! Her name is Avery Anne Carmichael and we cannot wait to meet her! :) The due date is August 3rd and it cannot come fast enough! I am trying to enjoy each day that I have of my pregnancy because these are the last few months of my life where I only have to worry about Sheldon and I. It's scary but sooo exciting at the same time!

Life's good, Kelli's in town for spring break so it's nice having someone around to share my life in Florida with! :) Anyhow... I'm super tired as always these days so I'm gonna head to bed, just wanted to update a little!

It'd be nice if there were more time in every day!

There are so many things I want to accomplish yet so little time and so little opportunities to make them happen! Life is passing so quickly yet I'm still standing here still! As soon as I graduated high school life has flown by.. college and friends, marriage, move to Florida for our first ministry position, and now we're pregnant... HOLY CRAP! It's nuts! It's exciting but depressing at the same time! I still feel soo young but I am definitely getting older... these life changes prove that! I pray that God continues to use me and give me opportunities to grow closer to him and to make a continual impact on other peoples lives! I can't wait to see what he has in store for us! :)

I love it how...

God is the one constant in our lives... he puts things in our lives that may challenge, encourage, try, or even sometimes defeat us but NO MATTER what, he's always there on the other side. I have been praying so hard that God will draw me closer to him and just reveal himself more to me, so I'm not sure why I'm so surprised that I've been hit with trials... because that is how he grows us right? So instead of continuing to dwell on them... I'm making my choice to rise above it and take what he's got for me out of these situations! :)

Overall, it's been a great week... Maddie has been a sweet heart for the most part this week and we've had so much fun, going to the park, going to the bounce place and just having fun simple picnics outside! She's such a ham sometimes! It really makes me wonder about what our baby is going to be like... especially character wise... Sheldon and I were both fairly rambunctious as kids so it kind of frightens me lol but I know regardless it'll be fun! :) Today marks ONE week till we get to find out whether or not it's a boy or girl! :) If you know Sheldon you know he has no filter and definitely says very MANY random and hilarious comments that continually keep me in stitches, one being the other night... We were hanging out on the couch watching American Idol and he leaned over an smashed his face into my belly and yelled, "YOU BETTER GROW A PENIS!!! GROW A PENIS!!!!" lol Obviously the baby already is whatever it's going to be lol but still cracked me up... That's just my husband! :)
